This amazing natural product comes from India and Nepal. The fruits of the soapnut tree have been used there for centuries to clean laundry and for personal care. The soapnuts used by NaturGut come from the smallest province in Pakistan , Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. There, the soapnuts are shaken from the soapnut trees onto spread-out cloths, sorted, opened and separated using traditional handwork. The kernel is removed because only the shells contain the active ingredient saponin.

- Soap nuts do not contain any optical brighteners, so white laundry can take on a grey tinge over time and should be treated with washing soda or similar.
- The soap nut shells contain natural tannins. If the shells and wet laundry come into contact for too long, stains can form. By removing the laundry immediately after the wash cycle has finished, you can avoid any possible discoloration of the textiles.

Application : To use, simply put around 6 soap nut halves into the cotton bag and place it in the drum. The soap nut halves can be used twice at a washing temperature of up to 40°. You can put the soap nut shells on the compost after washing with a clear conscience, as they are 100% biodegradable.
